This authentic African Djembe drum from Ghana measures 25 inches tall with a head size of 12 to 13 inches. These Djembes drums weigh between 13 and 18 pounds. They are handcrafted by experienced craftsmen and carved with a simple traditional design.

Construction is from a single piece of legally harvested Masonia wood. A special hard wax is applied to the drum’s bottom and bearing edge. The inner and outer shell surfaces are treated with a coconut oil finish. This brings out the natural beauty and hydrates the Masonia wood and also helps to reduce cracking.
