African Basket Shaker

This simple and inexpensive Cane Shaker is very effective at driving the pulse of the drum circle. The pebbles in the basket strike against the hard gourd bottom with a very percussive attack. This allows the shaker's sound to cut through the drums and other percussion instruments in the ensemble.

Sold individually. Please specify a color when ordering. However, since they are hand made, colors do vary and we can't guarantee we will have the exact color shown. Percussionist often hold two or three at a time to increase the intensity of the sound.
