My son wanted to call this the Octopus Djembe. It’s a Scottish style carving with a very refined look. This carving technique is accomplished by the more experienced craftsmen. The slightly dimpled top gives the drum some texture without distracting from the fine carving of the base. A drum suitable as a permanent fixture in your living room.
